Zoči Voči: The band that grew from the Nitra rehearsal room to the big festival stages
For many people, doing an interview with a band they have listened to for years is a dream — and for our founder, that childhood dream has come true. Zoči Voči are one of the well-known names of the Slovak punk-rock scene and have been maintaining their energy, honesty, and distinctive musical identity for years.
The band comes from Nitra and consists of Michal, Filip, Vladko, and Juraj. Beyond the band itself, there is also a strong team behind their work, taking care of technical support, sound, and organization, allowing everything to function smoothly even off stage.
Musically, Zoči Voči are most often categorized as melodic punk rock, but their sound is influenced by several genres. You can hear elements of punk, metal, and even metalcore from their early days, combined with more melodic elements that make their songs accessible and memorable.
The band's lyrics are deeply personal and based on real life. They reflect genuine emotions, relationships, and everyday situations — whether it's love, loss, or ordinary life moments. This honesty is one of the main reasons why they have built such a loyal fan base.
The members' musical beginnings were strongly shaped by bands like Sum 41, which for many of them served not only as inspiration but also as the motivation to start their own band and begin playing music.
Their songwriting process has evolved over the years. While they used to spend a lot of time together in rehearsal rooms, today ideas often emerge individually and are later developed collectively into final songs.

Among their biggest live performance experiences is their show at the Topfest 2014 festival, which attracted around 10,000 people. This moment remains one of the most significant in their career.
Today, Zoči Voči see music mainly as joy and an escape from reality. Even after years on the scene, they remain true to their style and do not plan any major changes. When asked whether they are preparing something new that could surprise fans, Michal replied:
"A few weeks ago, we released our new song 'Zhorím v pekle.' Next year I would like to start working on a new album, so I hope everything goes as it should and that I'll have more time for music."
You can already find the song in our team's playlist. We believe it will become your favorite!
This answer suggests that the band has no intention of slowing down. On the contrary, after their recent single, they are already looking ahead and preparing the next phase of their work, which should result in a new album. At the same time, it reflects the reality of modern band life — time is limited due to work and personal responsibilities, but music remains a priority and a natural part of their lives.
Even after all these years, Zoči Voči remain active, genuine, and honest — exactly as their fans know them.
