METAL CONJUNCTION: A SLOVAK EXPANSION THAT BREAKS BORDERS AND CREATES ITS OWN METAL UNIVERSE
Metal Conjunction did not emerge as just another project in line with many others. They were not formed to fit into a system or replicate what already exists. Their music is more of a response to the need to cross boundaries – genre boundaries, sonic boundaries, and personal ones.
The band consists of three distinct musical minds: Alexander Fröhlich (guitar, songwriting), Marián "Maňo" Švec (bass guitar), and Matúš Minich (drums, songwriting). Each brings their own identity, yet the result is not a compromise. It is a collision that transforms into something new.
Their sound has no single face. At times it is technically precise and surgical, other times raw and crushing, then it breaks into melancholy that hangs in the air like heavy smoke. In one track you hear chaos, in another an unusual sense of calm – and sometimes both at once.
Their influences are just as open-ended as their music. From Children of Bodom, through Tool, Nightwish, to Megadeth, plus jazz, classical music, and modern metal. Nothing is off limits – everything can become part of their sound.
The band themselves say their goal is not to fit in, but to push what is possible. That is why they describe their music with one word: expansion. Constant movement, growth, transformation.
Their songs are born naturally – from riffs, jams, or spontaneous ideas that evolve without a fixed plan. Every track finds its own path and identity. Nothing is predefined; everything is shaped during the process.
Their debut track REBORN is exactly what it should be: an explosion of energy and a symbol of rebirth – both musical and personal. Aggression, pressure, and emotion merge into a single point.
Interestingly, the band has not yet performed a full live show. Their real stage debut is still ahead – the moment when studio work turns into physical energy on stage. They are still completing their final lineup, but the direction is already clear.
"Playing live is a mix of everything – responsibility, energy, and connection with people," the band says. And that is exactly where their music is meant to fully come alive.
They do not see the future as a fixed plan, but as an open process: completing the lineup, starting live shows, recording an album, releasing merch – and most importantly, continuing to search for their sound without limits.
Metal Conjunction is not a band trying to belong somewhere. They are a band creating their own space.
