Band LANDLESS strengthens its harsh musical style

Among the noise of guitars, pounding drums, and emotions hidden in lyrics, there is a space for bands that are shaping the current face of the Slovak metal scene. One of them is Landless — a group of musicians from Žilina and the surrounding area who are following their own path, built on a modern sound, energy, and an honest expression without unnecessary posing.

The band plays in a lineup consisting of Peťo (guitar), Tomi (guitar), Nikolaj (drums), and Laci (vocals). Although not every member is originally from Žilina, it is there that their music comes together and takes shape. Their rehearsal space has become their common ground — a place where ideas are transformed into finished songs.

Their sound is based on a combination of various metal approaches, complemented by modern rock elements. They are not trying to fit into a single genre box — instead, they aim to create their own atmosphere that moves between heaviness, melody, and emotion.

The EP titled "Parazit" has been available for a few months now, and the band is actively working on new material. They have also released a music video for one of the tracks from the EP. They still consider the material relevant while already developing new songs that are gradually taking final shape.

When asked what best defines their music, the answer is not a single word, but three: passion, energy, and motivation. These qualities are then transferred into their live performances, where the band shows its most natural form.

Songwriting happens gradually. The foundation is usually brought in by guitarist Peťo, who prepares a musical idea. Once it takes shape, the band develops it further, with Laci stepping in to complete lyrics and vocal lines. From a simple motif, a full song slowly emerges.

Landless also embrace live shows, which they consider the most important part of being a band. Every performance is different, but the moments they remember most are those when the energy from the stage returns directly from the audience.

"It's also a form of release for us. On stage, we let everything out," they explain.

Although they naturally experiment, they do not want to change their core identity. Instead, they aim to develop and push it further. They are satisfied with their songs and see their current direction as a stable foundation for the future.

Their goal is simple — to stay on stages. In clubs, at festivals, anywhere where music meets the audience. That is where metal stops being just sound and becomes a shared experience.
