Artery Wire: The Sound of Dystopia
Artery Wire is not a band that followed a conventional path. There is no story of a group of friends meeting in a rehearsal room or years spent playing together in a garage. This project was born from the connection of two people brought together by a shared creative vision before they had even written their first song. Lorna, who is responsible for the musical side of the project, and Alex, who focuses on the artistic concept and visual direction, met online while searching for a vocalist for Alex's other project STÖMB. What was meant to be a simple collaboration quickly evolved into something entirely new.
From the beginning, it was clear that Artery Wire would not be music for those seeking simplicity. Their sound is built on contrast — dark electronics inspired by darkwave, synthwave, and witch house meet the aggression of thall and deathcore. The result is music that balances between the cold atmosphere of a dystopian world and the heaviness of modern metal.

A key part of the project's identity is Lorna's vocal performance. Her voice naturally shifts from screams and growls to clean singing, bringing contrast and tension into otherwise harsh music. It is precisely this unpredictability that creates the space in which Artery Wire exist.
However, the project is not only about building its own sonic world — it is also about a dystopian concept filled with themes such as transhumanism, artificial intelligence, robotics, and the societal impact of technological development. Their inspiration comes from science fiction, TV series, and video games, but it is not just about futuristic aesthetics. Through these motifs, they reflect on today's reality and questions that are becoming increasingly relevant in everyday life.
Although the project currently functions as a duo, their goal is clear — to bring this world to the stage. They are currently looking for live musicians, and they see the live form of the project as the next major step. For them, music needs to exist physically, not only in a digital space.
Their current milestone is the track "Other Side," which will be released soon and represents another step forward in their evolution. After a period of experimentation and sound development, they feel it is time to take Artery Wire to the next level and bring their music to a wider audience.
On stage, they aim to deliver more than just a musical performance. Their ambition is to create an intense experience — raw, emotional, and physically impactful. Something that leaves a lasting impression even after the show ends.
Their ultimate dream remains a performance at Hellfest, which they see as a natural goal for a project with such a strong identity.
Artery Wire are still at the beginning, but already feel like a project with a clear direction. They are not built on chaos, but on vision. Not on ego, but on a shared purpose. And that is where their strength lies — in the ability to create music that feels less like sound, and more like an entire world.
